What is a Polymer?
Polymers are chemical compounds or mixtures of compounds that consist essentially of repeating structural units that are called monomers. A monomer is a very small molecule that consists of a double bond and are often toxic. A polymer is formed from the breaking of a double bond in the monomer and then connecting to the broken double bond of another monomer and form a chain. This process is called polymerization and often includes thousands of monomers.
